2. What this website is, and is not

This website publishes independent editorial guides about consumer security software. It is an information service, funded by affiliate advertising.

  • It is not a shop. Nothing is sold here and no contract of sale can be concluded here.
  • It is not operated by, affiliated with or endorsed by any vendor whose products it discusses.
  • It does not provide professional, legal, financial or information-security advice.
  • It does not host user accounts, user submissions, reviews or comments.

3. Accuracy and the limits of it

Content is written and checked against the sources named on each page, and each page carries a publication date and the date it was last reviewed. Nevertheless, information about third-party products becomes outdated: features are added and withdrawn, prices and promotions change, and availability differs between countries.

Where anything on this site diverges from the vendor’s own current information, the vendor’s information prevails. Always confirm features, price, renewal terms and refund conditions on the vendor’s own site before purchasing.
